I am not too sure where to put this, I was going to put it in the HD device section, but I guess it fits here.
A friend of mine has a older RP Toshiba HDTV monitor, no tuner. He got it a few years ago before this became pretty standard. We have looked high and low locally and cannot find an external tuner anywhere. He wants to be able to just go pick one up.
so a few questions -
1. In my rather newbish opinion I don't think one model of another model would make a HUGE difference when it comes to just getting a tuner for OTA signals, but, is there anything specific we should be looking for?
2. where can we get one of these things, and can they be had for less that 180? He did find one at the Best Buy in Mansfield, but didn't want to drive up there for the privledge of dropping nearly 2 bills.
3. Final question, I am betting a bunch of you guys have upgraded to sets with integrated tuners, anyone looking to unload one on the cheap?
