In Athens we have 720 as WOUB, as a PBS station, though sometimes 734 shows up in the channel guide, though not in actually on the screen.
TW has also added BTN.

Should I be receiving these channels for free through my coax with TWC basic?

Should I be receiving these channels for free through my coax with TWC basic?

Yes. If you have a TV with a digital QAM tuner, you should be able to plug your cable directly into the coax jack on the back of your TV and receive these channels after running a channel scan.

** Note: 90-2 (WCMH 4.2) is now RTN and no longer WeatherPlus.

Thanks for the reply! I just bought a tv, with a QAM tuner and I'm getting the channels, but there is significant fragmentation of the audio/video and sometimes the channels drop completely. I don't think its the TV, but I really don't have any idea. Any help would be really appreciated!

Not sure what is causing the problem. Could be a defective tuner in the new TV? Could be a weak cable signal into the home? Could be bad cable connections, or a cable that's been split too many times?

Lets hope TWC here in Columbus is taking Uverse seriously as they have a fantastic HD lineup, one that I would love to have. Unfortunately, Uverse was never an option for me as there is no VRAD near me, so I'm at least 1-2 years away from having real access to them.

I just checked it and I can't find anything other than PPV on 799. Nothing from CBS. My choices along the bottom are ALL NEW!, HD MOVIES, MOVIES A-Z, SAW, SPECIAL EVENTS, SPECIAL SCREENING, and WATCHMEN, all with a viewing price. When I do a "Find" for NCIS it shows only three On Demand episodes on PTOD (1141).

My bad! The CBS shows are on HDSOD channel 795. HDOD 799 did come back yesterday as well and is still up today. TWC had been taking these channels down on the weekend, probably due to bandwidth concerns. Since moving to switched digital they have been up constantly until this past weekend. Maybe TWC is getting ready to add some more HD channels or juggle the line up in some way. Not much new could be added that would be of big concern to me.

Can you see all other OnDemand channels? Like those in 300's and 1100's? If not, you may have a Parental Control setting blocking them. If you can, then you should call customer service...they may need to 'ping' the box to make sure it's set up with correct authorizations.

Does anyone have any list of QAM channels for southern ohio/Athens area? I have tried searching all over the internet and calling the cable company yet nothing comes up. I have tried adding some of the columbus stations and their substations yet they don't come through down here.
Currently I get;
78.2 - RT
78.3 - CW
84.4 - PBS
84.6 - PBS
90.1 - NBC

If anyone can give me any advice or point me in a direction to get even the local channels down here that would be great. Thanks guys!

Does anyone have any list of QAM channels for southern ohio/Athens area?

Here's what my TV just pulled in Athens city limits. I removed a couple channels I didn't want and unfortunately can't distinguish them from other blocked channels.

77.28 - NBC
78.1 - WSYX (ABC)
78.3 - FOX
82.9 - OnDemand trailers
84.1 - WBNS (CBS)
84.2 - WOUB
84.4 - WOUB Learns
84.6 - WOUB Classic
90.1 - WCMH (NBC)
90.2 - RTN
90.3 - WWHO (CW)
94.33 - CSPAN
109.1054 - Animal Planet HD
110.1072 - TW Info

Can someone tell me what the minimum plan I need to keep the major networks? Is basic sufficient?

what are you qam modulations for those channels? I am getting NBC and CBS on the same 90.1 it just depends on how I access the channel, on both the 64 modulation band and 256 modulation band.....
