My wife and I just got a new HDTV, our first. The black friday deals were just too good to pass (37" Olevia for $699). I can't believe how easy it was to get HDTV. I just bought a $10 rabbit ears from radio shack. Lots of good info on this forum. Keep up the good work!

I did the same the week after. Got a Toshiba 32HL66, Consumer Reports top pick for 32" LCD's.

Here's the "but" part.

Hooked it up to a table top (amplified) antenna. Could not get all the channels and lot's of breakup. The house I bought had an antenna in the attic so I hooked it up using the cable connection. Cable is off now (another story for another time). Picture improve dramaticly. Still get some breakup though. Is there a cure for that?

I live in Clintoville so lots of trees around the yard. Going to check the antenna direction tomorrow.

Is there anything else I can do?

well, antennas in attics don't work too well. if the breakups are on nbc, that's caused by the new equipment they installed a week ago, they're working on it. if the breakups are on other channels, a different antenna may be required. which antenna is the tough question.
