I finally got one today. I've been camping out at the Easton Target for the past three mornings in anticipation of purchasing one (based on some research I had done over at the Xbox.com forums). Today was payoff time. They had 10 Premiums in stock and I was number 2 in line. As of 9:00 am, they still had three in stock.

I put together a little compilation of all of the information about post launch schedules and quanities together for those who are looking for one around the Central Ohio area. I only put the information up that I felt to be accurate--and it seems to have been, at least for the Target information.

Here's the link:

Hope it helps!

Any specific advice for anyone looking to find one before Christmas?

Starting on Sunday the 18th, pick one Target in Central Ohio and just go there at 7:30 am every morning (actually do the legwork and go, you can NOT trust operators or employees over the phone). This is what I did for about 4 days before I got one yesterday. I would suggest the Easton Target, because from what I heard, they got the biggest shipment for the 7,000 allocated for this week (they got 10, I know, I was there). Next week, Target is scheduled to receive 19,000 accross the country. It worked for me with the measly 7,000 this week, so I know it could work for you. Skip camping out at BB. That's going to be nuts.

The Polaris is also a good Target as they get a lot of them too. I think I'm going to try the Best Buy thing on Sunday, but if its crazy I'll just go home. Then I'll be looking at Targets next week.

From the numbers I saw online the local BestBuys are getting less than they did before. The total number for their systems was around 32 so that means probably 8 core and 24 premium. If you don't mind camping out in freezing weather then that's your best bet to get one.

Congrats on finally getting one. After reading the stuff about GameStop not giving the local retailers units and selling them online in high-priced bundles I'm glad you actually got one. What games did you get?

I went to a few Best Buys last night at @9:30 and they all had enough people standing in line already that I wasn't likely to get one if I did too. I was actually prepared to sit it out all night. I knew that there would be people there by then, but was surprised at how many.

With all the buzz around the new 360, any word on what the PS3 will be like? Does anyone think that it will be worth the wait, or should I go with the 360 after the holidays?

Sorry about your luck of getting one. My friend and I got there by 4:30 and the line was full by about 7pm. But that was back during the first wave. I guess the eBay frenzy and all the hype is driving demand through the roof. Well once you do get one what games do you plan on getting?

The first game will definitely br PGR3. I love racing games and Scott has this game and really likes it too so we'll probably be playing over live.

About the PS3, it's hard for me to say because I always buy all the consoles so I'll also get one of those and a Revolution when it comes out as well. One thing to consider is the PS3 has the potential to quite a bit more expensive since it's using a BluRay drive and will play HD movies. Nobody knows how expensive yet though, and I have a hard time seeing a console release at much over $400, which has been pretty much the price ceiling for this type of product.

Well, I finally got one. I called Target yesterday morning when I got up and the one in Hilliard had some. I also picked up Project Gotham Racing 3 and Dead or Alive 4. So far I'm loving it, except my router randomly drops the Live connection. It did it on my old XBox too, except it was hooked up wirelessly then and I assumed it was some kind of interference in the signal. It's hardwired now and still does it.

My router was on the recommended list for the oringinal XBox, but now they have it on the incompatible list. So, I think I'm going to have to go get a new router today.

What's your gamer tag? Mine's zelig2 (no surprise there). I've been playing Perfect Dark Zero co-op with a friend on live for a while. Quite enjoyable. Might try to play some more tonight. Funny thing is my wife probably plays the 360 more than I do. She's always playing Zuma (arcade game) when I'm not around.

my gamertag is snodgrass23 (no surprise here either). I have Perfect Dark rented, but I haven't had a chance to really play it yet.
