I was driving around Gahanna this weekend and saw a minivan with the vanity plate "MR HDTV". I just got a glimpse of the vehicle but I think it was a 90s era green/blue Mazda MPV. Sound familiar to anyone?

I did chuckle to myself when I saw it. First, it was a minivan. Second, it was a funky aqua blue/green color. And third, it had to be close to 10 years old. Must be dumping all of his bling on HD equipment.

MR HDTV was/is an installer for Direct TV. I had him come out to my house when I lived just south of Westerville to do a site survey. That was about four years ago and he was driving that same van. Didnt make the switch to satelite at the time becaus I was too dependant on the cable stability and the 4 meg cable modem I had through WOW. I live in Radnor now and have Dish Network, what a huge difference in overall PQ on the standard channels and the HD stuff blows me away!!

It's me. And it's a Teal (SJ SHARKS fan) 2000 MPV. Only 72k miles. Why waste money on an auto? It's a mini van so I can haul speakers, projectors, amps etc.
What do you drive jchiso? A Kia?
I got the plates because I've been doing HD for 7 years.
I've also been a mod and writer for 6 years on the net.

HAHA!! I knew as soon as he said something about the van the person who owned it would pop up! That's awesome how people's feet always seem to end up in their mouth. I'll have to keep an eye out for you now.

Does Kia not make minivans? I had a Saab when this was originally posted but as of two days ago, a VW.
I had to put the old Saab down, but in it's days it hauled alot of unwieldy junk. It was a convertible, so you could drop the top, fold down the rear seats and load up. In fact, I transported my first plasma screen (a 42-incher) home in it from a local [unnamed] Sears store.
Though, I must confess I had to rent the Lowe's pickup to transport the materials (lumber, sheathing) for my home-built front projection screen...

My dedicated media room has a Sharp XV-Z9000U. The DIY screen is 62" wide, but I have caught the bug and am planning on replacing it with a CinemaScope (2.35:1 Aspect) screen and lens attachment in the coming months.
