I'm currently a WOW customer with Digital Cable, but am close to upgrading to HD (see sig).
I contacted both WOW and Insight to compare features and prices, and was surprised to see that Insight was more than 20% cheaper, and they offer local ABC and Fox HD feeds. Their internet up-cap is slightly slower than WOW, but they said they were upgrading to 5mb cap soon.
For those of you using Insight, are you happy with the service, features, equipment, etc?
BTW...I'm new to this board...first post.
Thanks,
Todd

Hmmm...nobody using Insight on here?
I am an insight subscriber and am very pleased with their service. My current bill is only $105 w/ 1 digital box, 1 hd dvr box, encore movies, hd package, and road runner. My only complaint is that the digital box menu system is pretty poor, but I hardly use that box anyway. the motorola HD dvr is a great box and is more intuitive and has better features than the time warner box. as far as the roadrunner up-cap, it is a little slower than the time warner road runner, but not too bad, I do alot of uploading and 45k vs. 60k doesn't really make a whole lot of difference in the long run. Also the pure fact that sinclair doesn't have beef with insight yet is great because I get the fox and abc digital feeds no problem. I haven't had wow before, but I have had time warner, and given the option I would choose insight over time warner any day, considering pricing, programming and hardware.

Dr J,
Thanks for the info. I've decided to go the Insight route, and just wait for their internet capacity to catch up to WOW. I'll probably start off with the Motorola HD DVR, and if I don't use it that much, just use the cablecard and do without the menu items.
It was nice being able to be able to tell my wife: "see honey, by upgrading to HD, I was able to actually SAVE us money!". LOL

i have been a Wow broadband subcriber for about 2-3 years after dropping Insight - i thought their broadband service was abymal in the Polaris area. Yesterday I went w/ Wow's VOIP/Digital cable/broadband package - w/HD DVR - this is actually a $30 decrease when considering I dropped MCI the neighborhood. That said; I am not impressed with the digital content/signal. Nor am i happy with the VOIP - granted it's only been 24 hours, but i've already dropped one call. If you're looking at Insight vs. Wow and want the broadband, then consider that WOW's customer service is far superior to Insight - if you have a problem, they'll be out within 24 hours - with insight, you're lucky if you see them within 5 days
