If any one from WBNS is monitering this site still, are there plans to bring back the bit rate? From what I gather, 10-2 is on air with a logo, and occasionaly showing political stuff.
This has the effect of DESTROYING the HD signal. I reckon that there is at least 3-4 mbps going to this sub chan. JAX Vs PHI yesterday was so un-bearable that I was forced to flip to the Directv Sunday Ticket Channel that is down ressed to 1080X1280 and bit starved. It actualy looked better.
Also why are the consistant issues with the pre game show not being HD, then the DD 5.1 being hosed for a while?
Thanks, Jaret

Thanks for confirming it was not just me. Even my brother-in-law who was visiting last week noticed and he is not HD sensitive. Along the same lines, is it just me, or is the volume level problem getting worse and worse? Not just on WBNS, but all HD transmissions. Have noticed some differences of at least 20db between the regular programming and the commercial breaks. I know that some of this is due to the sharing of analog and digital content, but some has to be someone having gone out for donuts when they should have been manning their post. We have to constantly keep our fingers on the volume button. I look forward to the dynamic range of digital, but the other is just a nightmare.

yeah, the audio volume is out of whack - there's also a huge difference between the hd ota channels and an sd channel.

Do you have 6.3a on your HDtivos? I'm getting the 6.3 nasty DD audio hiccup glich on FOX (during football, the 5:30/6pm simspons, and on House)and then the other night on NBC during conan. (At least it didn't happen during the skelevision episode.)
That might explain your CBS DD hiccups.
(But I seem to remember you going back to 3.1.5f because ty tools didn't work.
I dunno maybe that was Scott. It's all a blur to me on these forums.)

Yeah I moved back to 3.15f b/c of tytools issues. Not shure if they have been worked out yet, but i figure they have had it working pretty good with the 3.X software for a few years, why change?
