I need some help. We have had some complaints about our captioning on the HD platform. That the info is garbled and not coming thru correctly. The RCAs at the station show no problem. The Sharp LCDs we have are showing the problem. Software was just upgraded in all the LCDs. Could some of you check the captioning and let me know what you are seeing? I need to know the maker of your set when you report back. I'm not sure if its an encoder problem or a particular receiver issue. Thanks.

It works in analog but nothing in digital. When I first turned CC on I got occasional captions, but they were chopped off, i.e., just the first 10 or 15 characters, then nothing.

Tried both cable (w/o cable box) and OTA. Also confirmed that CC worked on other channels.

Hitachi 50VS810.

If you can check now. It looks like the issue is resolved. All the different monitors in the station are working OK with the captioning. Thanks.

I don't see any improvement. Tried it on the Today show. When I tuned to 4.1 it displayed the first sentence, then nothing more. Tuned to 10.1 to confirm it works. Regis and Kelly showed CC with no problems. Tuned back to 4.1 and got the first few words of a sentence, then nothing. Analog works fine. Tried both cable and OTA -- same result.

Last time I tried captioning, probably on 10/17, the captioning would only pick up some of the words... say 30%. Impossible to follow... analog was fine. Just like DublinDoodah said above me here...

I had captioning turned on last night via channel 714 on my cable box and it was dropping still dropping portions of phrases.
