According to the FSN HD website (link here (http://msn.foxsports.com/name/HD#FSOhio)), selected Blue Jackets games are scheduled to be shown in HD this season. I didn't see this posted anywhere else, so I am assuming this is news.

Does that mean you're still a Jackets fan all the way out in LA?

Yeah, I know, I'm a massochist, but I think they have a real shot at finally making the playoffs this year. I'm planning on going to see them on January 3 and March 17 when they play the Kings here in LA.

You get two BJ-Kings games in LA this year but I have to wait 3 years for my Rangers to come back to Columbus. Another reason hockey has lost me.

As a fellow Rangers fan I have to say I'm thrilled they are not returning to that discoteque for awhile. The Blueshirts have stunk up the joint here since stealing an unimpressive win in their first visit. I'm still holding out hope that one day we can get the MSG-HD games on DirecTV...

Last year wasn't so great but they played Weekes in goal instead of Lundquist. Despite losing I was still the loudest person in the arena a lot of the time and took some flack for my Adam Graves jersey. Apparently it's Messier or stay home with these hockey noobs. They quieted down when I reminded them Graves had the Rangers record for most goals in a season.

I hope the Jackets make the playoffs (despite my disdain for some of the fans) because I think this city will really come alive. I was at MSG in 1994 for one of the playoff games in the Caps series. To this day it's the loudest place I've ever been, concerts included. It sounded like tires screeching even before the puck dropped. The fans could taste the cup that year and eventually it worked out.

The other game I was at that I'll always remember was Mario's first game back after Cancer. The Pens won 10-5 and Mario scored 5 goals. The MSG crowd gave him the Standing O.
