Looking to make a temporary outdoor screen to project the game on this Saturday. Found lots of easy ideas via google but cannot find any of the following "no work" solutions locally: Parkland Plastics Poly-Wall, Gatorboard/Gatorfoam, Do-able Board. Anyhow does anyone know where to find these in the Columbus area or have another idea.
Thanks

Here are a couple of companies that I believe you can rent or purchase an outdoor screen.

Forgot to mention that Airscreen products had a nice review in Sound & Vision Magazine. Go to their website and search Airscreen to read about it. Hope this helps.

I've also read good things about Airscreen. Snodgrass may have some good ideas as well.

hmmm.....you can use pretty much anything thats close to white in color. You could use a sheet of drywall if you have someway to hang it or just lean it up against something. How big are you looking for and what kind of mounting options do you have?

Piedmont Plastics on Schrock sells Gatorboard as big as 4'x8' and Sintra PVC in sizes as big as 5'x10'. I'm going there tomorrow to see what I like best. Depending on how heavy / strong the material is I will either hang it on the ouside of my garage, or mount it to a couple of 2x4s and pound them in the lawn.

There was a story in yesterday's Journal about people doing just this type of thing. They mentioned the site "backyardtheater.com" as a resource for info in this area.

I eded up with a 4x8 sheet of Gatorboard from Piedmont Plastics on Schrock. They where extreamly helpful. I used mirror hangers to attach 4 1x3 boards and then proped it up against my garage. Worked great.

cool. The place Scott and I went used a 4x8 sheet of drywall painted white. They made a stand out of extra 2x4s they had laying around. It worked really well too.

It worked extremely well. I wish we would have taken some pics of the setup.

I've made a couple of screens based on the Parkland Plastics material. This stuff had been discussed at great length in the "Screens" forum on AVSForum.com. I used Celotex insulating sheeting panels as backing material framed in with 2x1s and finished off with black painted trim. My screens are only 62" wide, but the panels come in 84" widths.

Went to the "backyardtheater.com" site and checked it out. Showed it to the wife and we both agree come next spring we are going to set up something and start having neighborhood movie night. Have to get the new patio installed first. Looks like a great way to have parties and hang out with the neighbors and drink some brews.
