Does anyone have one? How are you using it within your system?
What is your configuration?
Case, Motherboard, RAM, Audio, Video

What is your "Can't live without" software?

I've adapted one from an old server, but am thinking about building a new one to more meet my needs. I posted a very lengthy discussion topic at avsforum...

I have one set up. I built it about 2 years ago with a ShuttleX case, Nvidia MB, AMD Athlon 1300 overclocked to 1800, 1GB Kingston HyperX PC4000, Western Digital 250 GB, ATI 9800 AIW Pro (256MB) AGP video card, onboard sound card (optical out to Denon Receiver). I ran my HD TiVo out to it for backup of video content (at 480i of course), and went ahead and ran Cat 5 to it for networking. I ran cable to it entirely because I have a 1TB media server which I stream music and movies from. I'm only running XP pro on it currently because all of my attempts to get Windows Media Edition on it were failures. I did find Meedio (www.meedio.com) and absolutely love it. It was designed to do everything WME does, but it allows you to do more because it's open source. People have written mods for HD, movie times (with movie trailers), weather, news, it sorts your music, and movies, etc., etc., etc.

I started working on a MythTV box but had to stop since i wasn't able to allocate funds for completion. I was hoping to get something together where I could have all the HD stuff from Time Warner get mixed in with HD OTA broadcasts from FOX & ABC. But I never ended up buying the HD tuner cards. Oh well. So far the DVR from TWC has been working just fine for me.
