I've been having some trouble the past couple weeks getting a consistently good signal from WBNS on most evenings. Simply keeps dropping out (will work for a second or two, then skip out). Previously, I had no problems.
I'm in Pataskala, using DirecTV HD-TIVO with the Winegard GS 1000 Sensar II on the roof (installed by directv). I've been getting a near perfect signal on all other Columbus digital stations.
Oddly enough, CSI on Thurday night has been fine, but other shows other times of the week have been problematic (CSI Miami, How I met your Mother, Threshold).
Any ideas or people with similar problems? Just curious.

Still having problems out here in Pataskala picking up WBNS-DT.
I just tested signal strength. On all the other affiliates (NBC, FOX, ABC) I'm getting constant 90-97%, but WBNS jumps between 10-40%. Very weird and frustrating.

Considering how strong WBNS's signal is and the jumping you indicate, it sounds like a multipath issue and that the signal is bouncing around. Has some of the recent windy days changed the position of your antenna? I haven't seen any change in signal strength using an indoor antenna in the Short North.

I think you are right, I have never been able to get a constant good signal from WBNS since DirecTV put an OTA antenna on the roof in August. So it was probably never positioned in that "sweet spot" for WBNS.
For the hell of it, I pulled out my old silver sensor (which I never used to be able to get anything with) and shockingly all the stations are coming in now except for ABC. So, I used a splitter and screwed in both antennas with the single "output" going to the HD Tivo. All channels now working, generally decent signal strength. We'll see if it lasts.
Edit:
Well, it worked for CBS, but when I switched to FOX for the next game the split was causing major interruptions (even though signal strength was shown around 79), so I took out the splitter and put it back to just the main antenna and no problems. I'll have to figure out a way to get up to that antenna and tweak it a bit.
