I'm noticing the promos for the game in newspapers do not state the game will be in HD. Does anyone know if it will be in HD?

Did anyone happen to catch Saturday's ChiSox-Boston game? The picture didn't look as crisp to me. Did they upconvert from 480? I haven't gotten a chance to peek at tonite's game yet.

Fox's Saturday's games are not HD just enhanced they call it.

It really doesn't make any sense for fox not to broadcast saturday games in HD. Most of the local sports networks, (such as yes, NEHD, WGN) broadcast those games locally in HD and have been for several years. I don't understand why fox doesn't take the local provider HD sports signal and rebroadcast it with the fox logo/gametrack ticker. It's probably more to do with MLB rights and Fox's deal with MLB to broadcast games, than say some technical limitation though.
At least last nights all star game was in HD. I just checked it out in the 9th inning to see the comeback, and to see how the new fox bitrate looked on the broadcast.
I couldn't really tell any difference from any of the espnHD baseball broadcasts. But I haven't watched any of the saturday games recently to compare old fox bitrate with new fox bitrate. Maybe we'll see the difference this fall on the national NFL broadcasts.
