Which channel is it?

Which channel is wsyx-dt? 6.1? I'm on Adelphia in Newark. I think I've tried 6.1 before and it says no signal found.

Brief explanation of my situation:
I pick up digital channels through my tv's ATSC tuner because Adelphia in Newark is stupid enough to send them through to everyone.

Need to scan for the channel if the receiver allows you to scan for channels. It's not 6.1 but different and I don't remember off the top of my head. Scanning for the channel will do for you.

all 6-x's will be on freq. 13. your ATSC tuner will decode the different -x streams and should reposition the channels back to channel 6-x. But you might want to check channel 13-x also to be on the safe side.

Make sure that you are getting other hd/dtv channels. 13's on the fringe of the VHF/UHF bands. you might need to check your antenna.

Also, see how channel 36 (digital 28-x) is coming in, they broadcast from the same tower. Your antenna might be off.

? are you saying that adelphia is sending hd channels through the cable box but not showing them in the guide?

I'm saying that adelphia is sending HD channels straight into the tv, no cable box necessary. :D

interesting. i wouldn't have expected that. if i remember correctly, the channels are:

wbns - 21
wcmh - 14
wsyx - 13
wtte - 36
wosu - 38
51 and 53 are pax or upn or something - I can't get them so i don't remember.
